I am Loc Dang, living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I graduated at Open University, Ho Chi Minh City, major in English. Rough half of world's population is online. That's why I created this web to showcase myself in a role of public relations and communications to looking for an employment. I am skilled in critical thinking, dependability, motivation, and flexibility. I used to worked in the field of hospitality and diplomacy. In hospitality, I worked in some hotels and an office buildings. Then, I twisted my career life by landing a job in the Consulate General of Canada, Ho Chi Minh City, in following positions as Assistant, Interpreter, and Public Relations & Communications Officer.
In the latest job, in the role of public relations, I organised signature events such as Canada Day, Thanksgiving, the 30th Anniversary of Bilateral Diplomatic Relationship between Canada-Vietnam, Terry Fox Run (a charity run to raise funds for cancer research). I was a representative of an organisation committee to work with the local administration to retain safety, security for events.
In the role of communications, I used to promote the branding through media channels: print, online, social media, TV, radio. I wrote the press release, newsletters, pitching ideas for media-related stories, organizing press conferences, media interviews, talk shows. I also wrote contents to the diplomatic website, put posts on Facebook of the Consulate General of Canada.
Additionally, the web describes my learning process of writing English that describes my essays, papers with various thesis in order that my peers, faculty, interested person to assess to give me their feedback, comments which are great inspiration for me to improve my writing skill. In a similar vein, I wish to get in touch with you in terms of education, share of learning experiences, exchange of ideas.
