The Coca-Cola Company is one of the world’s largest beverage giants, producing 500 brands to consumers in over 200 countries. In term of external stakeholders, it runs a contingent of over 700,000 associates of bottling partners along with 250 bottling partners, 900 manufacturing plants, retail customer outlets, farmers, and consumers. As this is a beverage company, Coca-Cola has implemented its sustainability programs that circles around several fields: community, agriculture, climate protection, water stewardship, and society. These projects includes training on farming and providing knowledge on land use rights to women farmers and smallholder farmers in regions where they are investing, minimizing the carbon footprint caused by manufacturing, packaging, delivery, and refrigeration, replenishing water resources that Coca-Cola exploits in affected countries, reducing the use of material in packaging, and decreasing sugar in soft drink. Thus, this report will aim at economic, environmental and social aspects and also try to analyze what is considered to be one of the most comprehensive, most elaborated, and most successful CSR strategies. |
